• Firstly, you’ll reach out to me either via my website booking inquiry or through instagram or facebook direct message to ask any questions or with an interest in booking a session.
• We will discuss and agree on the shoot that you are booking and which package you would like to book and we will discuss/decide on a location.
• We will book a date. I will then send you an email with more information about the shoot inluding FAQ’s and an invoice including the deposit details to secure your date. This must be paid before your spot is secure. Your final payment is due 7 days before the shoot. 
• Our shoot will take place! This is the most fun. We’ll enjoy the process, I’ll help you feel comfortable. I’ll give you some prompts but I won’t overdose you! If there’s kids involved and we’re at the beach, there’s a chance we’ll get our clothes wet!
• Usually I am so excited that I start the editing the night of your shoot! I generally have galleries ready 2-3 weeks after the shoot has taken place.
• You will receive your photographs within 3 weeks via a beautiful online gallery which will be emailed to you. Your gallery expires in 30 days so please download your gallery before this. I recommend downloading in two places for safekeeping.
• My biggest wish is that you’ll adore your photos!
• There is an online store attached to my gallery that you can use to purchase prints. The quality of the lab used is the best of the best.
• If you are in love with your gallery, the biggest compliment I can receive is a kind review on Google, for you to share my work and social pages with your friends.
• You have beautiful memories to keep forever. The images are yours to do whatever you like with, whether that is sharing on social media or printing to keep in your homes and give as gifts. I highly recommend printing and framing your photos.
• I love if you tag me on social media – it means the world and shares the love.

I want you to feel comfortable in your skin and what you are wearing so it is up to you what that means! With a family shoot it can be ideal to have plain, more neutral clothing so earthy colours are beautiful or shades of a few colours – whatever you like the look of. It can look great if one or two people in a group shoot have a softly patterned item and the others are more plain. Often, the environments we shoot in have lots of natural colour and so, wearing bright colours can clash. Browns, mustards, yellows, dusty pinks, oranges or earthy greens and blues, cream or white all look great!

Sometimes it’s worth doing some instagram stalking to get some inspo but the outfit really isn’t the most important part. I want you to feel comfortable and have fun! There may be some action if you are getting a family shoot so just be aware of undergarments showing.

I have some items in my client wardrobe. There are a few neutral pieces for babies/toddlers and also a few women’s dresses. I will be adding to the sizes and options as I am able to. Please see my instagram highlights to see what’s available.

I have several beautiful locations up my sleeve and I am flexible with trying new locations that are special to you also. Generally, motherhood, family and maternity shoots are on location – we can decide on location together.

Newborn shoots are either in your home or on location depending what look you want and how you are going with your new baby! If you are wanting a fresh 48 baby shoot, I can also come to the hospital.

This is a common worry. It is really a non issue with my style of photography. My shoots are very relaxed and I like to capture candid moments. I like your children to explore and have fun, play on the beach etc during the shoot so I can capture their true personality.

I will prompt you to tickle, play with, dance with, cuddle and kiss your babies so hopefully we can turn their frown upside down! Also, serious faces can be just as special, cute and momentous as a smile. I can usually find something to make the kids smile at, whether it’s a joke, prompt or a dog running on the beach but if I don’t, rest assured, you’ll still have beautiful photos and memories of your child exactly as they were on that given day.

In saying all this, a treat or reward offered by Mum or Dad for the end of the shoot can come in very handy!

If it’s an outdoor shoot and the weather is to a point where I don’t believe we will get beautiful photos, I will be in touch to reschedule. These instances include rain and very heavy overcast cloud cover and strong wind. If there’s any gaps in the clouds, blue skies peeking through or even grey stormy cloud, this can make for intense beautiful skies to backdrop our shoot.

Most toddlers and young children are a little shy at the start of a shoot and as the shoot goes along, they open up. I find if we start with some cuddly photos with Mum or Dad etc that usually helps them to open up if I can chat to them as we go. Alternatively, some kids need some freedom and play time to loosen up at the start of the shoot.

I am also a primary school teacher so I find I am pretty good at connecting with the little ones. I was also a performer as my first career so I can usually cheer them up with a silly face or impromptu tap dance etc!

Absolutely! I can give you advice on what to wear and I love special outfits for the shoot. We can usually do a change of outfit through the shoot if you wish! I also encourage props such as hats, flowers, blankets, rugs etc.

Absolutely. There’s something so timeless about black and white. I generally don’t recommend this for nature/beach shoots but it is up to you.
