Baby Luna who I captured in her family home on the Sunshine Coast with her gorgeous family was just a dream. I loved the textures and tones of this family’s style and the gorgeous light that shone through the windows was a photographer’s dream. My newborn photo shoots are usually in home and are more lifestyle than posed. Feed baby, cuddle baby, let your toddler play in their room, make snacks if you need to. I’ll get you altogether and focus on family photos as well as capturing special connections between your new baby with each of the parents. I also take photographs of baby alone either on your bed or in my moses basket, depending what you’re up for and where the most beautiful natural light is in your home at the time I’m there. I’m so honoured when clients invite me into their home for their newborn photos. It’s an incredibly raw and also precious time and I don’t take my role for granted. I love newborn babies in fairly natural materials and love a neutral colour on them but I’m also whatever you love. One of my favourite things to capture is skin to skin moments and breastfeeding.
